Why things happen the way they do.
My belief regarding the ultimate playwright
.

Have you wondered why things happen the way they do?

I can understand why people suffer and die in wars. Wars are man-made and man has only himself to blame. What I cannot understand is why innocent women and children suffer and die in natural disasters. I have heard the remark that if there is a God, why is this God so arbitrary and so heartless. How can God be love?

As I believe the Judeo-Christian God is the one true God, I will attempt to explain why things occur the way they occur with reference to the Bible.

I believe that this God is the ultimate playwright. What is happening in the universe is a vast play in which God, as original cause, is simultaneously the producer, the director, the scriptwriter, the casting director, the costume director, the sound manager, the props manager, and the controller of every conceivable aspect of the play down to the minutest detail, even every nuance and thought.

He even took upon himself to play the hero’s part in the play. Unlike the traditional play, he takes the role of the audience. There is no other audience except himself. The purpose of this play is for his pleasure.

The stage is the whole universe. The props range from items as vast as the constellations to as small as the electron within the molecule of oxygen you just breathed in.

The actors include all living beings, from the smallest viral particle to the complex organism called man. Their role is scripted to the finest detail. The actors think they have free will, but the reality is that even the belief of having free will is scripted.

The plot appears mysterious. To put it simply, it involves the creation of the species called man some of whom he chose to adopt into his family. For these few, he would open their eyes of understanding to recognize him as God the original cause and to believe that Yeshua is his son who died and was resurrected. All the chosen ones will be enabled to obey him so that they would be included into a composite whole with him as the head. The rest would appear to disobey him but they are actually following his script to disobey him. These would eventually be cast into the lake of fire.

The ultimate playwright is understood to be a family of three personages. The Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. They are pre-existent. They decided to produce this play for their own pleasure. The Father (Adonai, YHVH) told the Son (Yeshua, Jesus) to create the stage for the play. The stage is the four dimensions that contains the universe. He created light which can and was resolved into mass (Einstein’s E=mC², the Big Bang theory). Mass in the form of stars and constellations and galaxies were flung into the space in the four dimensions.

At each stage of creation he made a value judgment that it was good. Why did he say so?

Perhaps he considered it good because he has scripted it as such.

This playwright then selected one solar system out of many millions, and selected one planet in this solar system to have the conditions conducive to life for a certain span of time. In this planet, he created life forms and created man in his own image.

I believe man is composed of three components, the physical body, the mind (soul) and the spirit. Each spirit was created before the start of the physical universe and is destined to last beyond the existence of the presently existing four dimensions of length, breadth, height and time. Some of these were selected right from the beginning to eventually become part of the ‘body’ of the Son. Some never saw the light of day because their physical life terminated prematurely as miscarriage. Some did not survive beyond childhood. Others lived to old age. Each physical person has a role to play in this play. The players are not aware that every event is scripted to the minutest detail. There is no escape from the time line decided by the playwright.

He selected one person called Jacob and renamed him Israel and all his descendents would be special to him. He decided to appear as one of the actors in this race of people, as one of the descendents of David, the second king of Israel. He selected several persons to predict future events. These he called prophets. Because he wrote the script for the play, he is able to reveal the future to these prophets. The records of the predictions were collected in a library of separate books by different authors, assembled into one volume called the Bible.

The main actors in this play include various characters among many generations of the chosen people, the various kings and potentates of the various nations of the world. The actors also included spirit beings called angels, some he made to be on his side and others he made to oppose him. No play would be complete without some bad guys and the worst of them all is the chief of the opposing angels variously called Lucifer, devil, dragon, serpent, and the accuser of the brethren. All others including a wizened grandfather in the remote arctic tundra and the person currently reading this discourse are also actors acting out their particular scripted part in the play. There is no exception.

To make the play more interesting, he scripted wars and conquests like those of Alexander the Great and the establishment of the Roman Empire. To make the play even more interesting, he added natural disasters like earthquakes, tsunamis, hurricanes and pestilences like the Great Plague and the Spanish Flu.

For his special selected people called the Jews, he scattered them to the four corners of the world in the Diaspora and then collected them back again into one nation in Israel. He chose to make an appearance, being born to a virgin called Miriam and narrowly escaped death as a baby. He also scripted the performance of miracles by himself during the last three years of his short stage appearance of thirty-three years. What was surprising of the playwright was the way he chose to die physically, in the midst of condemned criminals, nailed to a tree. What was spectacular was his resurrection after three days, appearing to many persons complete with nail holes in his hands and feet and a gaping hole in his torso. On his ascension up into the sky, he promised to send his counterpart, the Holy Spirit to dwell in the chosen ones to point them to himself.

Also scripted is what would occur at the end of time. There would be a great battle in Megiddo between Israel and the forces led by the devil. Here, he would appear in the sky and vanquish the opponents of Israel. Eventually, there would be a new heaven and a new earth in which he will rule as King.

From God’s viewpoint, what he decides is considered good. Because he scripted all that happens, all that happens is good. Based on my criterion of moral justice, the death and dismemberment of many school children in the 2005 earthquake in Pakistan is unfair, unjust and cruel. But the fact that it happened, it must be good in the opinion of God. I was initially astonished and outraged at this. How can he claim that he is love?

The God kind of love for people is unconditional acceptance of people as they are. When I view him as the ultimate playwright, it makes sense. Since he scripted the behavior of everyone in the play it is obvious that he has unconditional acceptance of every one of them in the role he has chosen for them.

When I look from this point of view, the events of the world throughout history make sense. Especially when he claimed that his ways are not my ways and his thoughts are not my thoughts. Because he is almighty, I understand that it is not my will but his will be done on earth as it is in heaven. The ultimate playwright is omniscient, omnipresent and omnipotent, absolutely sovereign and is indeed awesome.

This description of Adonai appears unorthodox, however it can explain why things happen the way they do. One of the effects of believing this description is that it enables me to say amen all events in the past, present and future and rest fully on the promises of Yeshua secure in the belief that Adonai is absolutely in control.

Adonai’s nature is agape.

1 John 4:7-12
7 Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God.
8 He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love.
9 In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him.
10 Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins.
11 Beloved, if God so loved us, we ought also to love one another.
12 No man hath seen God at any time. If we love one another, God dwelleth in us, and his love is perfected in us.

Love. NT:26
agape (ag-ah'-pay); from NT:25; love, i.e. affection or benevolence; specially (plural) a love-feast:
KJV - (feast of) charity ([-ably]), dear, love.

Adonai is the original cause.

Isa 43:10
10 Ye are my witnesses, saith the LORD, and my servant whom I have chosen: that ye may know and believe me, and understand that
I am he: before me there was no God formed, neither shall there be after me.

Isa 41:4
4 Who hath wrought and done it, calling the generations from the beginning? I the LORD, the first, and with the last
; I am he.

Isa 43:13
13 Yea, before the day was
I am he; and there is none that can deliver out of my hand: I will work, and who shall let it?

Isa 48:12
12 Hearken unto me, O Jacob and Israel, my called;
I am he; I am the first, I also am the last.

Adonai is outside the created dimension of time.

Rev 10:5-6
5 And the angel which I saw stand upon the sea and upon the earth lifted up his hand to heaven,
6 And sware by him that liveth for ever and ever, who created heaven, and the things that therein are, and the earth, and the things that therein are, and the sea, and the things which are therein, that there should be time no longer:

Adonai’s will and word are absolutely effective.

Isa 55:11
11 So shall
my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.

He created light and good. Because he created everything, he also created darkness and evil.

Gen 2:9

9 And out of the ground made the LORD God to grow every tree that is pleasant to the sight, and good for food; the tree of life also in the midst of the garden, and the tree of knowledge of good and evil.

Isa 45:4-7
4 For Jacob my servant's sake, and Israel mine elect, I have even called thee by thy name: I have surnamed thee, though thou hast not known me.
5 I am the LORD, and there is none else, there is no God beside me: I girded thee, though thou hast not known me:
6 That they may know from the rising of the sun, and from the west, that there is none beside me. I am the LORD, and there is none else.
7 I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these things.

Deut 32:39
39 See now that
I, even I, am he, and there is no god with me: I kill, and I make alive; I wound, and I heal: neither is there any that can deliver out of my hand.

Col 1:16-19
16 For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him:
17 And he is before all things, and by him all things consist.
18 And he is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things he might have the preeminence.
19 For it pleased the Father that in him should all fullness dwell;

Gen 41:25
25 And Joseph said unto Pharaoh, The dream of Pharaoh is one: God hath shewed Pharaoh what he is about to do.

By granting choice to living beings, Adonai created the consequence of these living beings sometimes choosing to do evil instead of doing good.

Deut 30:19-20

19 I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live:

Prov 1:29
29 For that they hated knowledge, and did not choose the fear of the LORD:

Isa 66:4
4 I also will choose their delusions, and will bring their fears upon them; because when I called, none did answer; when I spake, they did not hear: but they did evil before mine eyes, and chose that in which I delighted not.

Adonai creates the thoughts and intentions of everyone, even evil intentions.

Phil 2:12-13
12 Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.
13 For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure.

Heb 12:2
2 Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.

1 Sam 16:13-16
13 Then Samuel took the horn of oil, and anointed him in the midst of his brethren: and the Spirit of the LORD came upon David from that day forward. So Samuel rose up, and went to Ramah.
14 But the Spirit of the LORD departed from Saul, and an evil spirit from the LORD troubled him.
15 And Saul's servants said unto him, Behold now, an evil spirit from God troubleth thee.
16 Let our lord now command thy servants, which are before thee, to seek out a man, who is a cunning player on an harp: and it shall come to pass, when the evil spirit from God is upon thee, that he shall play with his hand, and thou shalt be well.

1 Sam 16:23
23 And it came to pass, when the evil spirit
from God was upon Saul, that David took an harp, and played with his hand: so Saul was refreshed, and was well, and the evil spirit departed from him.

Adonai created all things for his pleasure.

 Rev 4:10-11
10 The four and twenty elders fall down before him that sat on the throne, and worship him that liveth for ever and ever, and cast their crowns before the throne, saying,
11 Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created.

Adonai created man in his own image.

Gen 1:27
27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.

Image. OT:6754
tselem (tseh'-lem); from an unused root meaning to shade; a phantom, i.e. (figuratively) illusion, resemblance; hence, a representative figure, especially an idol:
KJV - image, vain shew.

Adonai created man as spirit, soul and body.

1 Thess 5:23
23 And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Adonai selects whom he wants to choose to adopt into his household before the foundation of the world.

Eph 1:1-23
1:1 Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the will of God, to the saints which are at Ephesus, and to the faithful in Christ Jesus:
2 Grace be to you, and peace, from God our Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ.
3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ:
4 According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love:
5 Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will,
6 To the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us accepted in the beloved.
7 In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace;
8 Wherein he hath abounded toward us in all wisdom and prudence;
9 Having made known unto us the mystery of his will, according to his good pleasure which he hath purposed in himself:
10 That in the dispensation of the fulness of times he might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven, and which are on earth; even in him:
11 In whom also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestinated according to the purpose of him who worketh all things after the counsel of his own will:
12 That we should be to the praise of his glory, who first trusted in Christ.
13 In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise,
14 Which is the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of his glory.
15 Wherefore I also, after I heard of your faith in the Lord Jesus, and love unto all the saints,
16 Cease not to give thanks for you, making mention of you in my prayers;
17 That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him:
18 The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints,
19 And what is the exceeding greatness of his power to usward who believe, according to the working of his mighty power,
20 Which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and set him at his own right hand in the heavenly places,
21 Far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come:
22 And hath put all things under his feet, and gave him to be the head over all things to the church,
23 Which is his body, the fullness of him that filleth all in all.

Eph 2:10
10 For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.

Eph 2:13-22
13 But now in Christ Jesus ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the blood of Christ.
14 For he is our peace, who hath made both one, and hath broken down the middle wall of partition between us;
15 Having abolished in his flesh the enmity, even the law of commandments contained in ordinances; for to make in himself of twain one new man, so making peace;
16 And that he might reconcile both unto God in one body by the cross, having slain the enmity thereby:
17 And came and preached peace to you which were afar off, and to them that were nigh.
18 For through him we both have access by one Spirit unto the Father.
19 Now therefore ye are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellowcitizens with the saints, and of the household of God;
20 And are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone;
21 In whom all the building fitly framed together groweth unto an holy temple in the Lord:
22 In whom ye also are builded together for an habitation of God through the Spirit.

Rom 9:10-24
10 And not only this; but when Rebecca also had conceived by one, even by our father Isaac;
11(For the children being not yet born, neither having done any good or evil, that the purpose of God according to election might stand, not of works, but of him that calleth;)
12 It was said unto her, The elder shall serve the younger.
13 As it is written, Jacob have I loved, but Esau have I hated.
14 What shall we say then? Is there unrighteousness with God?
God forbid.
15 For he saith to Moses, I will have mercy on whom I will have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I will have compassion.
16 So then it is not of him that willeth, nor of him that runneth, but of God that sheweth mercy.
17 For the scripture saith unto Pharaoh, Even for this same purpose have I raised thee up, that I might shew my power in thee, and that my name might be declared throughout all the earth.
18 Therefore hath he mercy on whom he will have mercy, and whom he will he hardeneth.
19 Thou wilt say then unto me, Why doth he yet find fault? For who hath resisted his will?
20 Nay but, O man, who art thou that repliest against God? Shall the thing formed say to him that formed it, Why hast thou made me thus?
21 Hath not the potter power over the clay, of the same lump to make one vessel unto honour, and another unto dishonour?
22 What if God, willing to shew his wrath, and to make his power known, endured with much longsuffering the vessels of wrath fitted to destruction:
23 And that he might make known the riches of his glory on the vessels of mercy, which he had afore prepared unto glory,
24 Even us, whom he hath called, not of the Jews only, but also of the Gentiles?

Adonai decides to bring about the Medo-Persian Empire, the Greek Empire of Alexander the Great and the Roman Empire in that order.

Dan 7:1-28 (Prediction of Daniel at about  539 BC)  (This contains predictions about the nations following the Babylonian Empire:  the Medo-Persian Empire, the Greek Empire and the Roman Empire.)
7:1 In the first year of Belshazzar king of Babylon Daniel had a dream and visions of his head upon his bed: then he wrote the dream, and told the sum of the matters.
2 Daniel spake and said, I saw in my vision by night, and, behold, the four winds of the heaven strove upon the great sea.
3 And four great beasts came up from the sea, diverse one from another.
4 The first was like a lion, and had eagle's wings: I beheld till the wings thereof were plucked, and it was lifted up from the earth, and made stand upon the feet as a man, and a man's heart was given to it. (Babylonian Empire)
5 And behold another beast, a second, like to a bear, ( and it raised up itself on one side, and it had three ribs in the mouth of it between the teeth of it: and they said thus unto it, Arise, devour much flesh. (Medo-Persian Empire)
6 After this I beheld, and lo another, like a leopard, which had upon the back of it four wings of a fowl; the beast had also four heads; and dominion was given to it. (Greek Empire of Alexander the great.)
7 After this I saw in the night visions, and behold a fourth beast, (The Roman Empire) dreadful and terrible, and strong exceedingly; and it had great iron teeth: it devoured and brake in pieces, and stamped the residue with the feet of it: and it was diverse from all the beasts that were before it; and it had ten horns

Daniel 8:20-21
20 The ram which thou sawest having two horns are the kings of Media and Persia.
21 And the rough goat is the king of Grecia: and the great horn that is between his eyes is the first king. (Alexander the great)
22 Now that being broken, whereas four stood up for it, four kingdoms shall stand up out of the nation, but not in his power.

Adonai appoints rulers.

Rom 13:1-3
13:1 Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no power but of God: the powers that be are ordained of God.
2 Whosoever therefore resisteth the power, resisteth the ordinance of God: and they that resist shall receive to themselves damnation.
3 For rulers are not a terror to good works, but to the evil. Wilt thou then not be afraid of the power? do that which is good, and thou shalt have praise of the same:

Adonai chose Jacob (Israel) to be father of his chosen people
.

Gen 28:12-16
12 And he dreamed, and behold a ladder set up on the earth, and the top of it reached to heaven: and behold the angels of God ascending and descending on it.
13 And, behold, the LORD stood above it, and said, I am the LORD God of Abraham thy father, and the God of Isaac: the land whereon thou liest, to thee will I give it, and to thy seed;
14 And thy seed shall be as the dust of the earth, and thou shalt spread abroad to the west, and to the east, and to the north, and to the south: and in thee and in thy seed (Yeshua, Jesus) shall all the families of the earth be blessed.
15 And, behold, I am with thee, and will keep thee in all places whither thou goest, and will bring thee again into this land; for I will not leave thee, until I have done that which I have spoken to thee of.
16 And Jacob awaked out of his sleep, and he said, Surely the LORD is in this place; and I knew it not.

Adonai decides to exile the Jews and to send them back.

Deut 28:36 (Prediction of Moses in 1,300 BC)
36 The LORD shall bring thee, and thy king which thou shalt set over thee, unto a nation which neither thou nor thy fathers have known; and there shalt thou serve other gods, wood and stone.

Jer 29:10-14
10 For thus saith the LORD, That after seventy years be accomplished at Babylon I will visit you, and perform my good word toward you, in causing you to return to this place.
11 For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.
12 Then shall ye call upon me, and ye shall go and pray unto me, and I will hearken unto you.
13 And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart.
14 And I will be found of you, saith the LORD: and I will turn away your captivity, and I will gather you from all the nations, and from all the places whither I have driven you, saith the LORD; and I will bring you again into the place whence I caused you to be carried away captive.

Neh 1:8-9 (Nehemiah oversees the return of the Jews to Jerusalem in 445 BC)
8 Remember, I beseech thee, the word that thou commandedst thy servant Moses, saying, If ye transgress, I will scatter you abroad among the nations:
9 But if ye turn unto me, and keep my commandments, and do them; though there were of you cast out unto the uttermost part of the heaven, yet will I gather them from thence, and will bring them unto the place that I have chosen to set my name there.

Neh 2:1-6
2:1 And it came to pass in the month Nisan, in the twentieth year of Artaxerxes the king, that wine was before him: and I took up the wine, and gave it unto the king. Now I had not been beforetime sad in his presence.
2 Wherefore the king said unto me, Why is thy countenance sad, seeing thou art not sick? this is nothing else but sorrow of heart. Then I was very sore afraid,
3 And said unto the king, Let the king live for ever: why should not my countenance be sad, when the city, the place of my fathers' sepulchres, lieth waste, and the gates thereof are consumed with fire?
4 Then the king said unto me, For what dost thou make request? So I prayed to the God of heaven.
5 And I said unto the king, If it please the king, and if thy servant have found favour in thy sight, that thou wouldest send me unto Judah, unto the city of my fathers' sepulchres, that I may build it.
6 And the king said unto me, (the queen also sitting by him,) For how long shall thy journey be? and when wilt thou return? So it pleased the king to send me; and I set him a time.

Adonai decides to scatter the Jews and gather them back again.

Deut 28:49-53 (Prediction of Moses in 1,300 BC)
49 The LORD shall bring a nation against thee from far, from the end of the earth, as swift as the eagle flieth; a nation whose tongue thou shalt not understand;
50 A nation of fierce countenance, which shall not regard the person of the old, nor shew favour to the young: (The Romans in AD70)
51 And he shall eat the fruit of thy cattle, and the fruit of thy land, until thou be destroyed: which also shall not leave thee either corn, wine, or oil, or the increase of thy kine, or flocks of thy sheep, until he have destroyed thee.
52 And he shall besiege thee in all thy gates, until thy high and fenced walls come down, wherein thou trustedst, throughout all thy land: and he shall besiege thee in all thy gates throughout all thy land, which the LORD thy God hath given thee.
53 And thou shalt eat the fruit of thine own body, the flesh of thy sons and of thy daughters, which the LORD thy God hath given thee, in the siege, and in the straitness, wherewith thine enemies shall distress thee:

Deut 28:64-65
64 And the LORD shall scatter thee among all people, from the one end of the earth even unto the other; and there thou shalt serve other gods, which neither thou nor thy fathers have known, even wood and stone. (the Diaspora)
65 And among these nations shalt thou find no ease, neither shall the sole of thy foot have rest: but the LORD shall give thee there a trembling heart, and failing of eyes, and sorrow of mind:

Deut 30:3-7
3 That then the LORD thy God will turn thy captivity, and have compassion upon thee, and will return and gather thee from all the nations, whither the LORD thy God hath scattered thee.
4 If any of thine be driven out unto the outmost parts of heaven, from thence will the LORD thy God gather thee, and from thence will he fetch thee:
5 And the LORD thy God will bring thee into the land which thy fathers possessed, and thou shalt possess it; and he will do thee good, and multiply thee above thy fathers.
6 And the LORD thy God will circumcise thine heart, and the heart of thy seed, to love the LORD thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, that thou mayest live.
7 And the LORD thy God will put all these curses upon thine enemies, and on them that hate thee, which persecuted thee.

Ezek 37:11-12 (Prediction of Ezekiel, between 593 and 571 BC.)
11 Then he said unto me, Son of man, these bones are the whole house of Israel: behold, they say, Our bones are dried, and our hope is lost: we are cut off for our parts.
12 Therefore prophesy and say unto them, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, O my people, I will open your graves, and cause you to come up out of your graves, and bring you into the land of Israel. (The re-establishment of the nation of Israel in 1948)

Adonai’s son is Yeshua (Jesus), born of a virgin named Miriam (Mary).

Luke 1:26-33
26 And in the sixth month the angel Gabriel was sent from God unto a city of Galilee, named Nazareth,
27 To a virgin espoused to a man whose name was Joseph, of the house of David; and the virgin's name was Mary.
28 And the angel came in unto her, and said, Hail, thou that art highly favoured, the Lord is with thee: blessed art thou among women.
29 And when she saw him, she was troubled at his saying, and cast in her mind what manner of salutation this should be.
30 And the angel said unto her, Fear not, Mary: for thou hast found favour with God.
31 And, behold, thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and bring forth a son, and shalt call his name JESUS.
32 He shall be great, and shall be called the Son of the Highest: and the Lord God shall give unto him the throne of his father David:
33 And he shall reign over the house of Jacob for ever; and of his kingdom there shall be no end.

Yeshua is Ha-Mashiyach  (the Messiah).

John 1:40-41
40 One of the two which heard John speak, and followed him, was Andrew, Simon Peter's brother.
41 He first findeth his own brother Simon, and saith unto him, We have found
the Messias, which is, being interpreted, the Christ.

John 4:25-26
25 The woman saith unto him, I know that
Messias cometh, which is called Christ: when he is come, he will tell us all things.
26 Jesus saith unto her, I that speak unto thee am he.

Yeshua is God.

John 20:26-30
26 And after eight days again his disciples were within, and Thomas with them: then came Jesus, the doors being shut, and stood in the midst, and said, Peace be unto you.
27 Then saith he to Thomas, Reach hither thy finger, and behold my hands; and reach hither thy hand, and thrust it into my side: and be not faithless, but believing.
28 And Thomas answered and said unto him,
My Lord and my God.
29 Jesus saith unto him, Thomas, because thou hast seen me, thou hast believed: blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed.
30 And many other signs truly did Jesus in the presence of his disciples, which are not written in this book:

Ex 3:13-14
13 And Moses said unto God, Behold, when I come unto the children of Israel, and shall say unto them, The God of your fathers hath sent me unto you; and they shall say to me, What is his name? what shall I say unto them?
14 And God said unto Moses,
I AM THAT I AM: and he said, Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, I AM hath sent me unto you.

John 8:23-24
23 And he said unto them, Ye are from beneath; I am from above: ye are of this world; I am not of this world.
24 I said therefore unto you, that ye shall die in your sins: for if ye believe not that
I am he, ye shall die in your sins.

John 18:4-6
4 Jesus therefore, knowing all things that should come upon him, went forth, and said unto them, Whom seek ye?
5 They answered him, Jesus of Nazareth. Jesus saith unto them
, I am he. And Judas also, which betrayed him, stood with them.
6 As soon then as he had said unto them, I am he, they went backward, and fell to the ground.

God. NT:2316
theos (theh'-os); of uncertain affinity; a deity, especially (with NT:3588) the supreme Divinity; figuratively, a magistrate; by Hebraism, very:
KJV -  exceeding, God, god [-ly, -ward].

Lord. NT:2962
kurios (koo'-ree-os); from kuros (supremacy); supreme in authority, i.e. (as noun) controller; by implication, Mr. (as a respectful title):
KJV - God, Lord, master, Sir.

Adonai is Love. The God kind of love is unconditional acceptance and benevolence.

1 John 4:8
8 He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love.

1 John 4:16
16 And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him.

Love. NT:26
agape (ag-ah'-pay); from NT:25; love, i.e. affection or benevolence; specially (plural) a love-feast:
KJV - (feast of) charity ([-ably]), dear, love.

Adonai’s ways are not my ways and Adonai’s thoughts are not my thoughts.

Isa 55:8-9
8 For
my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD.
9 For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.

Adonai’s will be done. What happens and will happen is already written. That is why scripture is called scripture.

Luke 11:2
2 And he said unto them, When ye pray, say, Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come.
Thy will be done, as in heaven, so in earth.

Rev 17:16-17
16 And the ten horns which thou sawest upon the beast, these shall hate the whore, and shall make her desolate and naked, and shall eat her flesh, and burn her with fire.
17 For God hath put in their hearts to fulfil his will, and to agree, and give their kingdom unto the beast, until the words of God shall be fulfilled.

Prov 16:33
33 The lot is cast into the lap; but the whole disposing thereof is of the LORD.

Matt 4:1-11
4:1 Then was Jesus led up of the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted of the devil.
2 And when he had fasted forty days and forty nights, he was afterward an hungred.
3 And when the tempter came to him, he said, If thou be the Son of God, command that these stones be made bread.
4 But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.
5 Then the devil taketh him up into the holy city, and setteth him on a pinnacle of the temple,
6 And saith unto him, If thou be the Son of God, cast thyself down: for it is written, He shall give his angels charge concerning thee: and in their hands they shall bear thee up, lest at any time thou dash thy foot against a stone.
7 Jesus said unto him, It is written again, Thou shalt not tempt the Lord thy God.
8 Again, the devil taketh him up into an exceeding high mountain, and sheweth him all the kingdoms of the world, and the glory of them;
9 And saith unto him, All these things will I give thee, if thou wilt fall down and worship me.
10 Then saith Jesus unto him, Get thee hence, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve.
11 Then the devil leaveth him, and, behold, angels came and ministered unto him.

Because any and every event is scripted by Jesus, He can forgive everyone.

Luke 23:33-34
33 And when they were come to the place, which is called Calvary, there they crucified him, and the malefactors, one on the right hand, and the other on the left.
34 Then said Jesus, Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do

I rest fully on the promises of Yeshua.

Rom 8:28
28 And we know that all things work together for
good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.

Matt 11:27-30
27 All things are delivered unto me of my Father: and no man knoweth the Son, but the Father; neither knoweth any man the Father, save the Son, and he to whomsoever the Son will reveal him.
28
Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.
30 For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.

Heb 4:3-13
3 F
or we which have believed do enter into rest, as he said, As I have sworn in my wrath, if they shall enter into my rest: although the works were finished from the foundation of the world.
4 For he spake in a certain place of the seventh day on this wise, And God did rest the seventh day from all his works.
5 And in this place again, If they shall enter into my rest.
6 Seeing therefore it remaineth that some must enter therein, and they to whom it was first preached entered not in because of unbelief:
7 Again, he limiteth a certain day, saying in David, To day, after so long a time; as it is said, To day if ye will hear his voice, harden not your hearts.
8 For if
Jesus had given them rest, then would he not afterward have spoken of another day.
9 There remaineth therefore a rest to the people of God.
10 For he that is entered into his rest, he also hath ceased from his own works, as God did from his.
11 Let us labour therefore to enter into that rest, lest any man fall after the same example of unbelief.
12 For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.
13 Neither is there any creature that is not manifest in his sight: but all things are naked and opened unto the eyes of him with whom we have to do.

Rom 8:1
8:1 There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.

Walking after the flesh is to believe that I have to obey all the ten commandments all the time. Otherwise I will be condemned and Adonai will consider me unacceptable to Him.

Walking after the spirit is to believe that no matter what I do or don't do, I am acceptable to Adonai. This is because Jesus has already borne on my behalf  all condemnation and punishment for my bad deeds.
